Our largest ever NQP induction begins on International Paramedics Day!

Today, International Paramedics Day 2024, marks the start of the journey for our largest ever Newly Qualified Paramedic cohort as they join #TeamECS!

ECS have been supporting NQPs with a bespoke programme since 2022 and with our first cohort now completing their 2 year framework, we are delighted to be welcoming the next group of NQPs.

What is different about the ECS NQP Programme?

  • Allocated Educational Supervisor to support our NQPs’ learning journey

  • A formalised online NQP portfolio with workbased placed assessments that are meaningful

  • Direct supervision period, ensuring our NQPs are supported as they transition from student to autonomous clinician

  • Opportunities to work across a range of activity to learn new skills and see a diverse patient caseload

What can our NQPs expect during their induction phase?

  • Meaningful content, to give them all the information they require as they join #TeamECS

  • The opportunity to meet our wider team face-to-face and get to know us

  • Hear about the exciting opportunities within ECS, across ambulance activity and beyond

  • Get to grips with Safeguarding, Mental Capacity and the Mental Health Act, providing them the knowledge and confidence to make the right decisions alongside our patients

  • Get hands on with practical sessions led by specialists in their field from Paediatric Emergency Medicine Doctors to Critical Care Paramedics
