Visiting us during COVID-19

At Enhanced Care Services, we take the health and safety of our staff, delegates and visitors at our main office and training facilities very seriously. The following information shares our precautions and guidance on steps that we all should be taking.

We will be continually monitoring the government website for updates and following any guidance and directives.

At present the business is operating as normal and any changes to this policy as a result of government guidance and/or directives will be notified to customers immediately.

How are we protecting our office team and learners attending courses.

We  are currently screening all of our team and delegates to exclude anyone exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms, which are a new continuous cough and/or a temperature >37.8OC and/or a loss of taste/smell.

We check the temperature of all visitors on arrival and exclude those who have a high temperature.

We will screen delegates and exclude anyone who should be self-isolating according to government advice (e.g. household member is symptomatic/advised to self-isolate by test and trace system ) or anyone who falls into a clinically extremely vulnerable category as detailed by UK government.

Physical distancing:

On arrival the ECS trainer will be vigilant to any attendee exhibiting signs of respiratory infection.
All learners will be asked to sanitise their hands at appropriate times during the training.
Anyone showing signs of respiratory infection (e.g. cough/cold/flu) will be asked to self-exclude from the course.

Anyone excluded from the course will be offered one opportunity to re-book.

Hand washing facilities and alcohol hand sanitizer/ anti-bacterial wipes are available at all locations.

We will sit all learners 2m apart during the entire course. We have assessed in advance to ensure physical distancing and to ensure that the number of delegates attending the course allows for physical distancing. chair/table positions will provide guide to delegates for distancing purposes. Floor markings may also be considered.

Lessons will be designed to ensure that a distance of 2m is maintained between delegates and between the delegates and trainer unless close contact is absolutely necessary for teaching or assessment purposes. Sensible adaptions to training and assessment activities must be introduced to achieve this and any contact <2m distance must be kept to an absolute minimum.

We have a system in place to ensure physical distancing is maintained during access and egress of the classroom, for example, asking those nearest the door to leave the classroom first.

Learners will be trained in the correct use of 3-ply civilian face masks and BOTH people must wear them during any close contact <2m during practise/assessment. If civilian 3-ply masks become unavailable due to supply chain demands, assessments must be adjusted to maintain 2 meters physical distancing.

Preventing spread of infection

Public Health England (PHE) recommends that the following general cold and flu precautions are taken to help prevent people from catching and spreading COVID-19:

Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze. See link Catch it, Bin it, Kill it

  • Put used tissues in the bin straight away

  • Wash your hands with soap and water often – use hand sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available. See link hand washing guidance

  • Try to avoid close contact with people who are unwell

  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces

  • Do not touch your eyes, nose or mouth if your hands are not clean

If you are worried about symptoms, please call NHS 111. Do not go directly to your GP or other healthcare

If the learner cannot attend a training course because of COVID-19 symptoms
You should still notify us as soon as possible if you wish to re-schedule your booking. As a minimum this must be before your course starts.

What if I start to feel unwell while attending a training course at Enhanced Care Services?
If someone develops COVID-19 symptoms whilst on a course, we have procedures in place to ask you to self-isolate and inform other delegates. We will ask all delegates at the end of their course to tell us if they develop symptoms and our reporting measures allow us to identify anyone on the same course to inform them.
